Kathy Licata – President
FSA, FCIA, MAAA
Kathy Licata is the President of Mondelis. She has worked in the actuarial profession in Canada and the U.S. for over 25 years in both large and small consulting firms. She provides the full range of pension and actuarial consulting services to clients in both the private and public sector. Kathy joined Mondelis in 2007, and since 2013 has been the principal of Mondelis. Kathy obtained her fellowship in both the Society of Actuaries in 2002 and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries in 2008. She has also been a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries since 1995. She is a graduate of the University of Waterloo (Actuarial Mathematics program).
Rick Johnston, Consulting Actuary
Rick has more than 20 years of experience in the retirement benefits industry. He is involved in all aspects of retirement benefits consulting and helps clients navigate the complex issues involved with both pension and post-employment benefit plans. Prior to working in the pension industry, Rick was a secondary school teacher. Rick continues to be active in education by lecturing in pension mathematics at the University of Waterloo. Rick graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics and from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Education.
Harish Pawagi – Consulting Actuary
Harish has worked in the actuarial profession for over 20 years, joining Mondelis in 2004. His focused expertise is in retirement and post-employment programs. His experience includes several years working in individual life insurance, financial reporting and product development. Harish obtained his fellowship in both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries in 1998. He graduated from the University of Waterloo (Actuarial Mathematics program). Harish has been actively involved in the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) through committees and task force groups organized to enhance the profession.
Sylvia Oikle – Actuarial Pension Specialist
Sylvia attained her professional designation of Associate at the Society of Actuaries in 1988, and has since successfully completed a number of the Society’s fellowship courses. Sylvia graduated from Queen’s University (Mathematics and Statistics program), and has over 25 years of experience in the pension benefits field, including 10 years with a large consulting firm. She has been a Mondelis employee since 1998 and while her specialty is in the Pension Actuarial field, Sylvia also co-ordinates the Administration services for corporate pension clients.
